Panama – May 16, 2025 – More than 100 entrepreneurs from the town of Miguel de La Borda, in the Donoso district, successfully completed the second phase of the Cobre Emprende program, an initiative promoted by Cobre Panama to strengthen local businesses and promote sustainable economic development in nearby communities. <\/p>\n
During a week of intensive training, participants received practical tools and personalized advice to improve the management, profitability and sustainability of their ventures, many of which are still in their initial stages. The program, developed together with the Alliance for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (AEI), is part of Cobre Panama’s actions to promote local talent and strengthen the community economy. <\/p>\n
The closing ceremony was attended by local authorities, including the representative of Miguel de La Borda, Ismael Gait\u00e1n, and AEI spokespersons, who highlighted the importance of this type of initiative to boost the local economy and generate real opportunities for entrepreneurs. <\/p>\n
\u201cSeeing the enthusiasm with which these entrepreneurs take on the challenge of growing and improving their businesses confirms to us that it is worth investing in their training. Cobre Panama will continue to create spaces that promote their talent and strengthen the local economy,\u201d said James Cobbett, spokesman for the program. <\/p>\n
After its initial implementation in the districts of La Pintada and Omar Torrijos, Cobre Emprende continues to consolidate itself as a platform for training and community empowerment, bringing key knowledge and technical support to various areas of the country. <\/p>\n
